In 2007, Mathieu decided to create a band as a tribute to the music
of one of the greatest jazz pianists, Oscar Peterson.

They started to play as a quintet with Jean-Paul Estiévenart on the trumpet and Jordi
Grognard on the tenor sax but in 2009, choose to play in trio instead.

Together they rearrange the compositions of this great Canadian pianist and play
standards that Oscar Peterson has once played and arranged.

The music of Oscar Peterson is full of virtuosity but remains very easy to
listen to, a music full of blues, swing and happiness.
